Black Pearl Rating, Rustic Service: A Santiago Cantonese Dilemma

When it comes to "Black Pearl" restaurant ratings, besides the food, the dining experience matters too: smooth process, elegant plating, and professional service. Here’s what happened today. 1️⃣ Right from the first dish, there was a mix-up: the server brought my order to another table and gave me someone else’s dish. I said I didn’t order it, but she insisted, "You did." After checking the system, she said, "You really didn’t order it, I don’t know what happened." Only when the next table also said their dish was wrong did we realize the two dishes were swapped. 😅 2️⃣ Each dish was placed at the corner of the table, and we had to move it to the center ourselves. Though it didn’t affect the taste, it felt less polished. 🍽️ 3️⃣ After we sat down, tea was served quickly—but without cups. We waited ten minutes before asking, "Could we have cups, please?" Then we finally got them. 🫖 4️⃣ We asked for two glasses of ice water, but no one refilled them even once throughout the meal. 💧 For a "Black Pearl" restaurant, service like this loses a lot of points. The space is quite large, with round tables, small tables, and private rooms, and the ambiance is nice. The only downside: there were only two servers for the whole place, clearly overwhelmed—maybe that’s why the service fell short. But honestly, the food I ordered was absolutely delicious! ✨ From the savory roast meats to the delicate dim sum, every dish was memorable. So… I’ll still go back next time, just for the food! ❤️ #SantiagoEats #CantoneseFood #BlackPearlRestaurant #DiningExperience #FoodDiary #ServiceOrTaste #HiddenGemRestaurant
