A beautiful meal… that wasn’t so delicious. The first course was foie gras — the bread was fragrant, but the foie gras leaned too salty. You could only handle about a third of it before it felt too rich 😣. The brandy‑soaked cherry made my heart race (and I’m not much of a drinker 🍷). The second course was lobster with caviar — my favorite of the night 🦞✨. We ordered two more after that, but turns out even good things are best in moderation. The third course was scallops — not great 😐. The fourth was Beef Wellington — the beef itself was incredibly tender and aromatic 🥩👌, but combined with the pastry and sauce, it didn’t quite work. Eaten alone, the beef was lovely. We finished with a complimentary dessert: white chocolate with lemon — fresh, not too sweet, slightly tart.
