Boston’s Atmospheric French Cuisine 🍴 Mistral
I’ve dined here several times for French cuisine. The restaurant has a great ambiance and is quite photogenic, perfect for small gatherings with friends or romantic dates. It can be a bit loud, and there aren’t many large tables, so it’s best for groups of 2-4. It’s harder to get a reservation on weekends, so book ahead! 📅 🌟 Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras Their most popular appetizer 👍 The seared foie gras is absolutely delicious, served with duck and thick slices of bread. Eating these three together is truly unforgettable! The sauce is on the sweet side and very rich, but it can be a bit heavy towards the end. 🥐🦆 🌟 Steamed Black Mussels The steamed mussels are easy to remove from the shell, and the broth is super fresh 😋 It comes with bread on the side to dip into the sauce, making it extra rich. 🍽️ 🌟 Beef Tenderloin Pizza Another one of my favorite dishes, an incredibly delicious pizza 🍕 The crust is thin and crispy, topped with a thick layer of mashed potatoes and cheese, and tender, juicy beef on top. I couldn’t stop at just three slices! The only downside is that it’s very filling. 🍔 🌟 Half Whole Roasted Duck Their signature dish, the roasted duck risotto 🥘 The duck skin is crispy, the meat is tender, and the rice at the bottom is soaked in sauce. It comes with a plum sauce to cut through the richness, and the portion is generous. 🦆 🌟 Prime Sirloin I blindly ordered a steak 🥩 It was decent, but it’s not their specialty. 🍽️ 🅿️ There’s valet parking at the entrance, but the parking spots are limited. #BostonFood #AtmosphericRestaurant #FrenchCuisine
