Boston’s Hidden Gem: Next Door Speakeasy🍹

On a Thursday night, my friends and I checked out a speakeasy in East Boston called Next Door Speakeasy & Raw Bar. The place is small, so a reservation is a must✅ We followed Google Maps and took a taxi to Pazza on Porter, and the bar is hidden right behind it. We entered through the front door of this store, and the server came to confirm our reservation, then led us to the backyard of the restaurant, which is the entrance. At the door marked p5, we knocked three times, and then the server inside will ask for the secret password (which can be found in the reservation confirmation email). The question of the day was: What was Al Capone’s favorite drink? Answer: Southside Fizz After the password was correct, the server let us in. The place is small but has a great atmosphere. We ordered a total of three drinks, each priced around 💲18-20. 1️⃣Starboy🌟 The server puts a huge bubble on the drink, which is great for photos! 2️⃣Walter White 🏖️ The glass design is super nice! We ordered the non-alcoholic version of this, and it tasted a bit like a Mojito. 3️⃣Lock & Key 🔒 This drink comes in a treasure chest, and when the chest is opened, it’s filled with smoke, very fancy! Unfortunately, I was too slow to get a picture. The alcohol content isn’t strong, making it perfect for ladies who don’t drink much. (Worth mentioning is that the ice ball in the drink also has a lock pattern.) We also ordered two plates: 1️⃣Charcuterie🧀 for 💲28 It’s a cheese and charcuterie board where you can choose three meats and three cheeses, perfect for pairing with drinks. 2️⃣Burrata for 💲18 The large ball of cheese with arugula and green apple slices was delicious😋 Each table has a time limit of 1h30min, but it doesn’t seem to be strictly enforced when it’s not busy.
