Boston’s Surrounding Quaint Art Museum 🥀 Warms the Winter Air

I’ve shared a few art museums before, and I’ve seen many people checking in. Here I am, sharing a new great place to visit! I’ve received several private messages lately urging an update to my previous historic series, so I searched right away~ After all, we can’t just stay home because it’s winter. This time, the art museum I’m sharing is located in a city near Boston: Worcester. It’s the second-largest city in New England, next to Boston, famous for its Victorian-style architecture. The museum was established 120 years ago, which is why the architectural style here is steeped in history: influenced by medieval styles and Renaissance art. The building was once a clergy hall. The main composition of the exhibits is European art. The first floor features many Roman-era mosaic tile paintings, which are rare in other museums. The second-floor corridor is filled with Renaissance sculptures, adding an extra artistic flair to the place. The gems of this small-town art museum are Paul Gauguin’s “The Contemplative Woman” and multiple ukiyo-e prints by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. 📍Worcester Art Museum 🚗1-hour drive from Boston 💰Adults $18; Students$14 The museum has a relatively light flow of visitors, and there are a few free parking spots at the entrance, which is more than enough. You can book tickets online or buy them on-site. The viewing time is about 2-3 hours. #WhereToGoOnTheWeekend #ArtMuseum #ArchitecturalDesign #History #BostonDayTrips
