Boston|The Joy of Trying Every Meat at This Brazilian Grill
Lately, I’ve been eating a lot of meat at every meal—loading up on protein while cutting back on other things. Combined with some exercise, I’ve actually lost a noticeable amount of weight. Feeling great! 💪 I’ve passed by this Brazilian grill in Allston maybe a thousand times when I lived nearby but never went in. Recently, I kept seeing recommendations online, so I decided to give it a try today. The concept here is pay-by-weight boxes: there’s a self-serve area for sides like vegetables and starches, and a counter where you can get freshly carved grilled meats. The self-serve section is $12.99/lb, while the grilled meats are $19.99/lb. We asked for a little of every type of meat—the photo shows about 1 lb worth. Almost everything was delicious! Because the meat rotates continuously on the grill, every slice you get has that perfectly charred, crispy exterior—which I absolutely love. Eating until I’m full just on meat? So satisfying! 😋 Highly Recommend: Top Sirloin: The most flavorful beef option—juicy, well-seasoned, and not overly salty. A must-try! 🥩 Spicy Sausage: Tasty and aromatic, similar to volcanic stone-grilled sausages. We liked it so much that we could still smell it lingering outside after leaving—already missing it! 🌭 Also Tasty – Pick Your Favorites: A Certain Pork Cut: Can’t recall the name, but it was fragrant, crispy on the outside, and not too fatty. A bit salty, though. Brisket: Milder in flavor and less intense than the sirloin, but still tender. A nice alternative. Beef Rib: We usually love short ribs, but this one could have used more time on the grill—a bit too chewy, though still enjoyable. Chicken Wing: Dried out from rotating on the grill for so long. Good if you like lean, dry meat, but since it’s priced by weight, maybe go for more beef instead! 🐔 We didn’t try any sides or starches this time, but they looked delicious—definitely next time! The best part is being able to sample just a little of every meat without the pressure of an all-you-can-eat buffet. Perfect for someone like me, whose eyes are often bigger than their stomach! 😄 Not sure if they recently partnered with a Chinese media company, but the menu now has Chinese translations—lol 🇧🇷🤝🇨🇳. All in all, this place feels like a hidden gem. I’ll be back! 📍 SABOR DO BRASIL, INC 174 Brighton Ave, Boston, MA 02134 #BostonWeekend #FunInBoston #BostonLife #MeatLover #WinterMeatFeast #BostonEats #BostonFoodFind
