Boston's Freezing Nights βοΈ Only This Bowl of Ramen Can Save the Day!
π΄ Ganko Ittetsu Ramen π 318 Harvard St #3, Brookline, MA 02446 This super famous ramen spot in Boston has a tiny space β we arrived at 6 PM on a weekday and still waited a full 30 minutes to get in. The service attitude honestly isn't great π , but their Sapporo-style broth is incredibly fragrant. On a chilly Boston night, a steaming hot bowl of ramen is truly healing. The only downside is the noodles have a bit of an instant ramen texture (note: their noodles tend to be salty & oily). π Kara-age This is an absolute must-orderβΌοΈ Their fried chicken is made fresh-to-order using chicken thigh meat β super tender and juicy with a crispy, light coating. π Gankara Miso Loaded with toppings: besides chashu, there's also meat sauce that amplifies the umami. The fermented miso saltiness is rich with a slight sweetness, overall leaning salty and oily β flavorful but somewhat heavy, best for those who prefer strong flavors. π Gantetsu Shoyu (Soy Sauce Ramen) Relatively lighter, not as salty or spicy as the miso, but still packed with savory flavor. Great for those who prefer a milder taste but still want a rich broth. π° Price per person: $30 π€ Overall: Above average #InternationalStudent #BostonFoodGuide #FoodDiary #Ramen #StudentTravel
