Boston's Must-Visit Spots 3/100 π¬
The Brattle Theatre πAddress: 40 Brattle St, Cambridge, MA 02138 Established in 1953, The Brattle Theatre is a historic independent cinema ποΈ. While it may not offer the plushest seating, its film selection and unique artistic vibe are absolutely unmatched! This theater screens everything from timeless classics to rare indie films π. Recent showings included Farewell My Concubine, and upcoming features include the buzzy Anora β though Iβm personally excited to catch Mulholland Drive here! πΏ You can find their monthly schedule and special events (like the Underground Film Festival at the end of the month!) in their beautifully designed brochures or on their website. I always grab a copy β love the layout! πβ¨ The Brattle feels charmingly old-school: π« Tickets sold at the window πΏ Freshly popped popcorn πͺ Wooden vintage seats π Even the menu board is made with those magnetic letters we all loved as kids! β€οΈ (One of the coolest moments? I saw Hirokazu Kore-eda here β I literally fainted from excitement π! He even stood up and bowed when receiving a paper cat award. So humble, so iconic!) #BostonCinema #IndieTheater #CambridgeMA #FilmLover #BostonCulture #HistoricBoston #BrattleTheatre
