Boston's Must-Visit Spots 4/100 ๐
THE Mushroom Shop ๐Address: 433 Medford St, Somerville, MA 02145 This place is literally a mushroom wonderland! From fresh and dried mushrooms ๐ to mushroom-themed books, decorations, and more โ itโs like a mini exhibition all about fungi. The owner is a true mushroom enthusiast. What started as a hobby of foraging slowly turned into a professional career. He now supplies mushrooms to restaurants and local communities, and eventually opened this unique shop. How cool is it to turn your passion into your livelihood? ๐ Heโs also deeply into tea ๐ต, so I was surprised to find Pu'er and Lapsang Souchong here โ such a fun mix! Sometimes Iโm just amazed by the creativity behind small businesses like this. Unlike big chain stores, every detail here โ from the decor to the products โ feels personal and full of soul (though some items are a bit pricey ๐ธ). Stepping into this shop really gave me good energy โจ. Iโve been following the owner on Instagram for a while and finally got to visit. I spent over 20 minutes inside and left with some mushrooms, hand-drawn merch, and a cute hanging decoration ๐๏ธ. I couldnโt wait to share this gem! (Today felt like a Somerville mini-tour ๐ถโ๏ธ. Of all the places I visited, this was my favorite. Nearby, Celeste serves delicious Peruvian food ๐. Alsoโฆ whatโs good at Bloc Cafe? I tried two items and both were disappointments ๐ . Any coffee shop recommendations around? โ And what about Bow Market? So many options โ Iโm overwhelmed! Help a foodie out! ๐) #BostonLocal #SmallBusiness #MushroomLover #SomervilleMA #UniqueStores #BostonGuide #FoodieFinds
