Boston | A French brunch that transports you to the streets of Paris
š„ Petit Robert Bistro: Bostonās South End Brunch SpotāCharming Vibes, Solid Bites (Skip the Coffee) Nestled in the South End with lovely views, this bistro nails the cozy French vibe. Brunch here is pleasantānothing mind-blowing, but tasty enough to enjoy. Just⦠avoid the coffee. ⨠The Highlights Complimentary Baguette: š„ A nice surprise. Served warm, with a crispy crust and soft, fluffy interior. Paired with creamy butterāso good, we almost polished the whole basket despite ordering plenty of food. Croissant ($4): š„ Perfectly timedāwe arrived at 10 AM (opening time), so it was fresh from the oven. Golden, flaky, and not greasy (a win). The texture inside isnāt the most layered, but āfreshā makes up for a lot. Solid, not stellar. Omelette Parisienne ($16): š³ Egg lovers, this works. Fluffy omelette stuffed with mushrooms, tomatoes, and melty cheeseāserved with crispy fries and a fresh salad. Balanced, satisfying, but I wish they offered French-style scrambled eggs (soft, creamy) instead of just the American omelette. š“ The Rest Seared French Toast ($15): š§ Not too sweet, with a warm cinnamon kick. The bread is dense and toasty (slightly crispy edgesālove that). Sits on a creamy sauce, topped with tangy fruit that cuts through the richness. Great for sharing. Yogurt Parfait ($13): š„ Thick, tangy Greek yogurt (bordering on āchokeyā textureāyouāve been warned). Topped with a huge pile of granola and fruit. Tasty, but so easy to make at homeāskip for something more bistro-specific. Latte/Cappuccino ($4.5): ā Yikes. Foam is coarse, coffee flavor weakātastes like an afterthought. Save your money. š Verdict Cute ambiance, good food, but not a āmust-returnā spot. Brunch here is enjoyable if youāre in the area, but donāt go out of your way.
