🍷 Boston | Classic French Dining at La Voile

During Restaurant Week, I tried the popular French restaurant La Voile on Newbury Street—perfect for a post-shopping meal! I found their Restaurant Week menu to be quite generous, with almost everything I wanted to try. 1️⃣ Came specifically for the foie gras, but unfortunately, only the terrine was on the Restaurant Week menu. The bread was crispy, and the foie gras paired with apple-strawberry jam was divine! 2️⃣ Beet Salad with nuts was also delicious! ⚠️ Avoid if you don’t like goat cheese. 3️⃣ Duck Confit was juicy with crispy skin—not greasy at all. The gratin dauphinois (French layered potatoes) was rich and creamy! 4️⃣ Beef Bourguignon: The sauce was incredibly fragrant, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also creamy and delicious! 5️⃣ Sadly, I missed out on the Napoleon I wanted, but the poached pear was a delightful surprise—so good! 6️⃣ Opera Cake: Raspberry-flavored, thick but not overly sweet—delicious! This popular French spot lives up to the hype and offers great value! I’m very satisfied with the Restaurant Week menu and plan to return to try the à la carte options—I’ve been eyeing that foie gras for a while.
