Boston | Found Another Hidden Gem Italian Restaurant—Geppetto

Can you believe this Italian restaurant opened near my house in 2021, and I only just visited recently? Since it was a birthday meal, I mentioned in the reservation that we hoped for a good table. They seated us at a round table in the corner, perfect for photos 📸 They seem to offer a set menu, but we opted for à la carte to avoid overordering: Espresso Martini 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 A must-order for me at Italian restaurants—theirs is really well-made. Laminated Garlic Bread 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Soft bread topped with grated cheese and olive oil—rich garlic flavor, a carb-lover’s dream! Smoked Short Rib Carpaccio 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 Thinly sliced raw beef with the savory kick of Parmigiano-Reggiano, wrapped around a soft-boiled egg—so satisfying in one bite. A Shrimp Dish (forgot the name) 🌕🌕🌕🌕 From the daily specials menu. The shrimp was fresh, served over bread soaked in a garlicky tomato broth—the sauce was so good it could make anything taste amazing! Spicy Lobster Spaghetti 🌕🌕🌕🌕 Al dente pasta packed with lobster flavor, slightly spicy and well-seasoned, though I found it a bit salty. Rigatoni Bolognese 🌕🌕🌕🌕 The sauce had cheese balanced with bell peppers—not too heavy or salty. A reliable, no-surprise classic. By this point, we were already quite full, but for the birthday vibe, we went for dessert: The tiramisu was just okay, but the pistachio gelato was excellent. The restaurant also treated us to raspberry sorbet—tangy, sweet, and refreshing. 📍 Geppetto 100 N First Street, Cambridge, MA 02141 #Boston #BostonLife #BostonFood #BostonDiningDiscovery #BostonWeekend #BostonEatsAndFun #AtmosphereRestaurant
