Boston | Gothic brunch! Had a delicious fish taco

🍹 Lolita (Back Bay): Boston’s Gothic-Chic Brunch Spot—Tasty, Tangy, and Underrated Finally made it to Lolita! Always thought this dark, gothic-style spot was only open for dinner, but turns out they serve brunch—and it’s a gem. Saturday noon was surprisingly quiet, no crowds, just great food, drinks, and that iconic moody decor. 🌮 The Bites Calamari Frito ($16): 🦑 Better than most fried calamari. The twist? A bright, tangy sauce that cuts through the oil—my friend loved it, and I get why. Crispy, not greasy, with that zingy dip. Blackened Mahi-Mahi Taco ($19): 🌊 My favorite. The fish is huge, meaty, and perfectly blackened—no fishiness, just smoky, fresh flavor. The sauce? Tangy again, with a hint of salt that lingers (in a good way). Tons of texture, and the taco 壳 (shell) holds up—no soggy mess. Pollo Loco Moco ($23): 🍗 Classic brunch fare with a kick. Two big, crispy chicken breasts, a perfectly poached egg (runny yolk, yes!), and rice mixed with beans. Topped with avocado and tomato, plus that signature tangy sauce. Hearty, satisfying, and never heavy. 🍸 The Drinks Lolita ($15): 🍋 Tequila-based, with grapefruit and other fruits—easily the best tequila cocktail I’ve had. Fresh, not too sweet, with a bright, citrusy finish. Friends raved about their other drinks too—definitely worth exploring the menu next time. ✨ The Vibe Dark, moody, and stylish—perfect for photos, but low-key enough for a casual brunch. No loud crowds, just chill vibes. Price: ~$45 per person (with drinks). Fair for the quality and portions. Note: Brunch menu skips some dinner favorites (like my friend’s beloved grilled corn), but what’s there is solid. 📍 Lolita 271 Dartmouth St, Boston, MA 02116 #BostonBrunch #GothicVibes #TequilaLovers
