Boston | The Banks Seafood and Steak

Our family hadn't eaten out in the city for ages, so on Saturday we decided to treat ourselves and chose this spot in Back Bay. The place was packed in the evening, completely full, with a strong Christmas vibe šŸŽ„. šŸ Complimentary bread was delicious—crispy on the outside with a light drizzle of syrup, sweet but not overpowering. šŸ Clam Chowder is a must-order for us anywhere—solid and reliable. šŸ Lobster Roll had fresh, tasty lobster, though the roll itself was a bit over-toasted. šŸ Prime NY Steak was good, but my partner said it tasted similar to what I make at home (🄹 not sure if that’s a compliment or just gaslighting me about my cooking…). I couldn’t really argue, except that I can’t consistently nail the doneness every time. šŸŽƒ Now, about that parking surprise… I usually park at 131 Dartmouth on weekends—about $10 for the day? Yesterday, I took the wrong exit from 133 and ended up heading toward Prudential. Then Google Maps kept saying Dartmouth was under construction, so I circled around behind Back Bay Station. On impulse, I drove into the Clarendon parking garage, thinking the price wouldn’t be much different. It was around 4:30 PM. After dinner, I went to get the car—and was charged $42 šŸ’”! Turns out: after 5 PM it’s $12, but before 5 PM it’s hourly, and over 2 hours hits you with $42. What a sting! #Food #Winter #Boston #BackBayDining #FamilyDinner #ParkingFail #BostonEats #Steakhouse
