Boston | The Banks Seafood and Steak
Our family hadn't eaten out in the city for ages, so on Saturday we decided to treat ourselves and chose this spot in Back Bay. The place was packed in the evening, completely full, with a strong Christmas vibe š. š Complimentary bread was deliciousācrispy on the outside with a light drizzle of syrup, sweet but not overpowering. š Clam Chowder is a must-order for us anywhereāsolid and reliable. š Lobster Roll had fresh, tasty lobster, though the roll itself was a bit over-toasted. š Prime NY Steak was good, but my partner said it tasted similar to what I make at home (š„¹ not sure if thatās a compliment or just gaslighting me about my cookingā¦). I couldnāt really argue, except that I canāt consistently nail the doneness every time. š Now, about that parking surprise⦠I usually park at 131 Dartmouth on weekendsāabout $10 for the day? Yesterday, I took the wrong exit from 133 and ended up heading toward Prudential. Then Google Maps kept saying Dartmouth was under construction, so I circled around behind Back Bay Station. On impulse, I drove into the Clarendon parking garage, thinking the price wouldnāt be much different. It was around 4:30 PM. After dinner, I went to get the carāand was charged $42 š! Turns out: after 5 PM itās $12, but before 5 PM itās hourly, and over 2 hours hits you with $42. What a sting! #Food #Winter #Boston #BackBayDining #FamilyDinner #ParkingFail #BostonEats #Steakhouse
