Boston Food | Is The Daily Catch Still Worth the Wait?

Verdict: Worth it if the line is under 1 hour! ⏳✅ This time, I visited the original Daily Catch in North End 🏠 Arrived at 5:00 PM on a Friday – no line! If you don’t want to wait, try the Waterfront location (takes reservations!). ⚠️ Peak wait times are 6-7 PM. North End has very limited parking 🚗 – after 6 PM, many spots require a resident permit. Better to park a few blocks away or find metered parking in Downtown. 🚇 Green/Orange Line: Get off at HayMarket and walk 5 minutes. 👨🍳 Some online reviews mentioned rude service, but I found the staff okay – no bad treatment. 💰 CASH ONLY – bring enough! Check the menu online beforehand to estimate costs. ✅ Our order: 1x Lobster Fra Diavolo (for one) 1x Half Black Pasta 1x Fried Calamari tip = $140 💸 🦞 Lobster Fra Diavolo ($67 for one) Enough for 2-3 people if you’re also trying other pastas! Includes lobster, clams, mussels, squid, and shrimp – generous portion! 🦐🐙 🦑 Black Pasta ($19.5 for half) Half is plenty! We got the Aglio Olio (garlic oil) style – delicious! 😋 🔥 Fried Calamari ($20) Fresh and tasty, similar to other Italian restaurants. The restaurant is super small – you might share a table. Food is solid, but if the wait exceeds 1 hour, skip it – North End has so many other great spots! Will share more about other restaurants next time! 👀 #WorthTheWait #BostonEats #NorthEnd #SeafoodLover #TheDailyCatch #FoodReview #BostonFoodie #NoLineClub 🦞🍝🇺🇸
