Boston French Cuisine: Deuxave
This French restaurant is best known for its appetizer pan-seared foie gras and main course duck breast. 🦆 The foie gras truly lives up to its reputation—tender and rich with the fragrant aroma of seared fat, complemented perfectly by its sides and sauce. The foie gras has always been consistently excellent, but their duck breast preparation varies significantly over time. The version I tried this time leaned toward a Chinese-inspired style: the duck was pan-fried to medium-rare, served with purple sweet potatoes and radish, and accompanied by a sauce reminiscent of roasted duck sauce with a hint of cinnamon—an interesting fusion touch. 🦞 We also ordered the lobster appetizer and duck fat fries. The lobster was richly seasoned and highly recommended! The fries, however, were just okay, with a somewhat heavy oily taste. 🍪 At the end, the kitchen also offered a complimentary caviar cracker, though it was rather ordinary. 📌 Overall, I’d recommend the foie gras and lobster appetizer. The duck breast can be hit or miss—depends on your luck! 📍 Address: 371 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02115 🚗 The restaurant offers paid valet parking, and there is metered street parking a couple of blocks away. 🔥 This place is very popular, so advance reservations are recommended! #BostonFood #DateNightRestaurant #EatWellTrainHard #HiddenGemRestaurant #FrenchCuisine
