Boston Mediterranean Creative Cuisine Where Squid Ink Pasta Shines

Today, I finally came to try the legendary “Three Duck Rice” that’s said to be fit for a palace feast. However, it wasn’t very impressive; maybe my expectations were too high. But the ambiance of this place is quite suitable for a drink and a chat. Duck Three Ways 🌟🌟🌟 The duck breast was average, the duck sausage was a bit like Chinese sausage and slightly salty, and the fried duck rice was very fragrant with crispy rice crust, a nice mix of textures (we asked for less salt, but it was still a bit salty). Wagyu Carpaccio 🌟🌟🌟 The flavors were layered with raw beef and nuts, well-seasoned, but the olive oil taste was a bit heavy. Smoked Sea Trout Dip 🌟🌟🌟 The yogurt dip with salmon underneath was slightly salty, but it was delicious with the crispy chips. Asian Pear Salad 🌟🌟 The cheese was a bit ordinary, not very fragrant, but the pear was sweet. Torched Bluefin Tuna 🌟🌟🌟 I can’t quite remember the taste, but it was good torched tuna. Lobster Campanelle 🌟🌟🌟 Tasty but not particularly special lobster pasta. Squid Ink Fusilli 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The squid ink pasta was the highlight of the meal, personally better than the Three Duck Rice. Crispy Fried Chicken 🌟🌟🌟 Now, I have to rant about the server. We ordered just one portion to share among us, but he said five people needed two, and he changed it to two without asking… Yes, two small chicken breasts for one portion, at $19 each… (Their appetizers are all around this price, a bit expensive.) But! The chicken breast was delicious, very tender and crispy, though a bit salty. The pickles were a perfect match to cut through the richness, not too sour and with a unique fruit-like fragrance. It was surprisingly good. Chocolate Budino Tart 🌟🌟🌟 The orange sauce was slightly tart, and the chocolate was bitter dark chocolate. The bill automatically included a 4% kitchen fee, and everyone ordered a drink, so with the tip, it was over $80 per person. Not the best value for money; it feels more like a place for dating rather than a must-visit restaurant. Tip: We made a reservation in advance and could only get a spot at 8:30 PM, thinking the place would be packed, but when we arrived, half of the restaurant was empty… Not sure about the point of the reservation. #BostonLife #BostonFood #MediterraneanCuisine
