Boston Money-Saving Guide: 35% Off at Gyu-Kaku!

After our last post-ski Gyu-Kaku meal, we still craved more—this time, we managed to stack discounts and snag about 35% off! Here’s how you can do it too: 📍 Location Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ 16-18 Eliot St 2nd Floor, Cambridge, MA 02138 💰 Three Ways to Stack Discounts 1️⃣ Happy Hour (after 8:30 PM) Many menu items are specially priced during Happy Hour, giving you an additional 8–10% off the regular menu. 2️⃣ New Year’s Coupon or Student Discount New Year’s Coupon: 15% off, up to $15 maximum discount. We carefully ordered exactly $99 to maximize the savings. Student Discount: Also 15% off, but not available at all locations—best to call ahead and confirm. ⚠️ Note: You can only use one of these two discounts per visit. 3️⃣ Reward Items from the Gyu-Kaku App Items redeemed with points in the official Gyu-Kaku app can be used on top of the discounts above! This time, we redeemed one order of Prime Kalbi Short Rib (worth about $14), effectively getting a free portion of meat after all other discounts. 🧮 Final Bill Original total: $109 Amount paid: $71 Total savings: approximately 35% off 📌 Tips To maximize the $15 coupon, aim for a total around $100 before discounts. Don’t forget to earn and use points in the app with every visit! Recommended to make a reservation on weekends or during peak hours to avoid waiting. Eating well without breaking the bank—perfect for students and savvy savers! Give it a try 🥩🔥 #BostonLife #StudyInBoston #BostonFoodDiary #BostonFoodMap #BostonEats #BostonStudentLife
