Boston oleana Dining Experience

oleana has been on my wishlist for so long! I finally managed to get a reservation. Here’s a quick summary of our meal⬇️ 💛 **Whipped Feta, Sweet & Hot Peppers, Seeded Crackers** The feta dip with sweet and hot peppers and seeded crackers was decent, but nothing too impressive. It was a solid start to the meal. 🥢 🧡 **Za'atar Bread, Parsnip & Almond Skordalia, Fig Jam** The brown fig jam was absolutely delicious! The white skordalia sauce had goat cheese, but it wasn’t gamey at all—it was really tasty! The bread was moist and chewy, and pairing the two sauces on the bread created a unique, asymmetrical beauty. I ordered this because I was worried about the portion sizes, but it was filling and satisfying! 🥪 ❤️ **Topik-Stuffed Potato Hummus** This was amazing! The hummus was topped with pine nuts and stuffed with creamy potato. There were crispy fried potato shreds at the bottom, adding a perfect crunch. The layers of flavors and textures were just spot on! 🥔 ❤️ **Fatteh-Caramelized Onion, Cauliflower, Crispy Mushrooms, Pine Nuts, Yogurt** This dish was a masterpiece! From top to bottom, it had crispy mushrooms, moist yogurt drizzle, thin crispy flatbread, and caramelized onions. Each layer added something special, showcasing the ingredients beautifully. 🍲 🧡 **Cocktail (Random Pick)** Their cocktails are all great! You can’t go wrong with any of them. Just close your eyes and pick one. 🥃 💛 **Fried Calamari** The fried squid rings were served with hummus. The combination felt a bit heavy and dense, like wearing a nose ring that’s too big. Not my favorite. 👎 💛 **Soul & Crab** This dish was a mix of pan-seared fish and crab meat with mashed potatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were light and airy. However, the cold crab meat had a slight fishy taste. Not a fan. 👎 💛 **Lamb Shish** The lamb skewers were a bit tough. It felt like the lamb had spent its life climbing steep hills, making its meat a bit chewy. Not the most enjoyable dish. 🐑 ❤️ **Sultan’s Delight** This slow-cooked beef was absolutely incredible! It was so flavorful that it seemed like the cow had been raised on seasoning. Highly recommended! 🍖 ❤️ **Vermont Quail Kebab** The roasted quail was outstanding—like eating a phoenix! It was incredibly delicious. The only downside was the rice, which could have been better if it were sushi rice. This dish is definitely worth trying! 🥩 🧡 **Birthday Treat** They surprised me with a small cake for my birthday. It was high-quality chocolate with dried apricot bits—very rich in fruit flavor and not too sweet. If it’s on the menu, it’s worth ordering! 🎂 🕑 **Reservation Tips** Book on Resy a month in advance at midnight to secure a spot. It’s worth the effort! 💰 **Value for Money** The portions are actually larger than typical tapas. We spent an average of $100 per person and ordered 11 dishes, but we couldn’t finish them all. I’d recommend 2-3 dishes per person, which should be plenty. Each dish or drink is around $15, so you can have a satisfying meal for $50-$75 per person. 😌 #BostonFoodie #MediterraneanCuisine #TurkishFood
