Boston quincy| Good Cantonese food!!
š¤ Wealth Seafood Restaurant (Quincy): Bostonās Cantonese GemāFresh Seafood, Giant Portions Finally made it to Wealth Seafood in Quincy, and itās a winner! Super close to the Red Lineāeasy to get to. The spotās small, with lots of big tables (small groups might wait a bit). We arrived at 5:30 PM on Saturday and had a short wait, but it was worth it. Prices arenāt cheap, but portions are massive, seafoodās fresh, and ingredients feel high-quality. Best for big groupsātwo people can easily fill up on 2 dishes. š¦ Standout Dishes Eight Treasures Tofu ($22.95): š„¢ My favorite. By far the most loaded version Iāve had at Cantonese spots: plump scallops, tender squid, juicy shrimp, pork, and chickenāall fresh and crisp. The tofu? Fried on the outside, soft inside, sopping up the savory broth. Perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. XO Sauce Chives with Geoduck Clam ($31.95): š± Huge. Like, āwe ate forever and it still looked fullā huge. Wok hei (that smoky, seared flavor) shines, with a salty-savory kick from XO sauce. Tons of chives (missed these so much!)āthough a few were a bit tough. Geoduck clam is plentiful, with tender, sweet flesh, plus mushrooms adding extra umami. Great, but just edged out by the Eight Treasures Tofu. š The So-So Salt & Pepper Eel (MP $26.95/lb, 1.4lb): 𦓠Freshly killed and weighed, the eel itself is super tender. But the preparation? Disappointing. Battered and fried, the crust overpowers the delicate fishātastes more like āsalt & pepper fried batterā than eel. The seasoningās mild, too. If you love fried dishes, you might enjoy it, but Iād skip this next time (wasting good eel!). šø Verdict ~$50 per person, but two dishes are enough for two people (three is overkill). Their seafood blows Allstonās out of the water, and prices are only slightly higher. Definitely worth a return. š Wealth Seafood Restaurant 1 Brook St, Quincy, MA 02170 #BostonCantonese #QuincyEats #SeafoodLovers
