Boston quincy| Good Cantonese food!!

šŸ¤ Wealth Seafood Restaurant (Quincy): Boston’s Cantonese Gem—Fresh Seafood, Giant Portions Finally made it to Wealth Seafood in Quincy, and it’s a winner! Super close to the Red Line—easy to get to. The spot’s small, with lots of big tables (small groups might wait a bit). We arrived at 5:30 PM on Saturday and had a short wait, but it was worth it. Prices aren’t cheap, but portions are massive, seafood’s fresh, and ingredients feel high-quality. Best for big groups—two people can easily fill up on 2 dishes. 🦐 Standout Dishes Eight Treasures Tofu ($22.95): 🄢 My favorite. By far the most loaded version I’ve had at Cantonese spots: plump scallops, tender squid, juicy shrimp, pork, and chicken—all fresh and crisp. The tofu? Fried on the outside, soft inside, sopping up the savory broth. Perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. XO Sauce Chives with Geoduck Clam ($31.95): 🌱 Huge. Like, ā€œwe ate forever and it still looked fullā€ huge. Wok hei (that smoky, seared flavor) shines, with a salty-savory kick from XO sauce. Tons of chives (missed these so much!)—though a few were a bit tough. Geoduck clam is plentiful, with tender, sweet flesh, plus mushrooms adding extra umami. Great, but just edged out by the Eight Treasures Tofu. 🐟 The So-So Salt & Pepper Eel (MP $26.95/lb, 1.4lb): 🦓 Freshly killed and weighed, the eel itself is super tender. But the preparation? Disappointing. Battered and fried, the crust overpowers the delicate fish—tastes more like ā€œsalt & pepper fried batterā€ than eel. The seasoning’s mild, too. If you love fried dishes, you might enjoy it, but I’d skip this next time (wasting good eel!). šŸ’ø Verdict ~$50 per person, but two dishes are enough for two people (three is overkill). Their seafood blows Allston’s out of the water, and prices are only slightly higher. Definitely worth a return. šŸ“ Wealth Seafood Restaurant 1 Brook St, Quincy, MA 02170 #BostonCantonese #QuincyEats #SeafoodLovers
