Mountain Coaster Riding 🎢 and Cable Car Views of the Thousand Islands A few months ago, when I wrote about going to Vermont to ride the mountain coaster, a reader commented: “You might as well go to Gunstock for unlimited rides.” And here I am! It’s really fun and more cost-effective!! 📍Gunstock Mountain Resort Located near the NH lake resort area, it’s about a 2-hour drive from Boston, making it a great stop for a short two-day trip to Lake Winnipesaukee (I’m on my way home from Lake Winnipesaukee and will write a detailed travel guide for the two-day trip tomorrow!) The resort offers a variety of activities! In summer and autumn, you can enjoy the scenic lift, mountain coaster, zipline, and treetop adventures. I bought a combo ticket for the cable car and coaster on the spot, $35 for unlimited coaster rides per person! The view from the cable car up the mountain is absolutely breathtaking, and the sight of the “Thousand Islands Lake” is so beautiful! Many people were enjoying the zipline, which looks super fun too, sliding down the mountain with an incredible lake view! The mountain coaster here is a bit shorter than the one in Vermont, but it’s still a blast to ride!!! Highly recommended! The resort also has several restaurants, or you can bring your own food to enjoy the scenery on the mountain. There’s also an arts & crafts festival on August 31st to September 1st, with plenty of stalls and a lively atmosphere 🎠⛱️ #BostonWeekend #BostonLife #BostonRoadTrip #BostonDayTrips #BostonSurroundingActivities #BostonSurroundingTowns #gunstock #NewHampshire #MountainCoaster
