🐋 Boston Whale Watching Guide|Up Close with Giants of the Ocean
Company: 7 Seas Whale Watch, Gloucester 📍 Two time slots daily: • 8:30 AM • 1:30 PM Arrive 30 mins early. Mornings may have more active whales, but if you’re not a morning person (like me 😴), the 1:30 PM trip is perfect! 🚗 About 1h15min drive from Boston. Not all highway – occasional slow traffic. Parking is available onsite. Just park, then exchange your ticket! 🛥️ The boat is mid-sized (for closer views!). Two floors: enclosed cabin + deck on first level, open deck on second. ⚡ Pro tip: Go straight to the top deck! Amazing views, sunny and breezy – not cold at all. ☀️ We went in late August – perfect weather! Not cold on deck, but the wind is NO JOKE 💨🌊 When the boat speeds up, sea spray kicks up! Bring a windbreaker/waterproof jacket – unless you want to get soaked 😅 ⏰ Trip lasts from 1:30 PM to ~5:30 PM (4 hours). It’s a long ride, and the boat rocks a lot. 💊 Highly recommend motion sickness medicine! Two common types in the US: • Behind-the-ear patches (non-drowsy) • Oral pills (effective but may make you sleepy) I used the patch – felt great the whole time, zero nausea! ✅ 🐋 Totally worth it! The crew gives live educational commentary and even knows the whales by name 🐋❤️ We sailed right alongside them – felt like we could almost touch them! #StudyAbroadTravel #Ocean #Boston #WhaleWatching #Gloucester #SeaAdventure #WeekendGetaway 🌊📸✨
