Boston Winter Food Hunt | Restaurant Log 📝
Just "survived" the midterm exams squeezed between holidays, and this Thanksgiving trip recap has been delayed all the way until Christmas before finally being ready to share 😇. A quick summary of the food journey: one highly recommended spot, two letdowns, and the rest were pretty good. The first part is all positive highlights—no more delays, let's dive right in: 🏵️ First Stop: Prudential Center Right next to the bus station, you can pop into Eataly for dessert. The outer shell is crisp, filled with smooth, creamy filling, and coated with nutty or cocoa flavors at both ends—sweet but not greasy, instantly washing away the fatigue of the journey~ 🏵️ Second Stop: Bangkok Bento Thai Kitchen and Sushi Bar A Thai-Japanese fusion restaurant on Newbury Street. We ordered the peanut sauce duck, which was just the right portion for two girls. The thick layer of sauce on the meat was a bit salty, but it balanced well with rice. The peanut sauce didn’t taste like the usual jarred supermarket kind—it seemed to have added spices, giving it a slight kick and sweetness. The creamy texture kept the duck from tasting dry, truly delicious 😋. 🏵️ Newbury Street Dessert Roundup (all worth trying): 🌰 Nut Factory’s Dubai-style chocolate 🐭 L.A. BURDICK’s signature mouse-shaped chocolates 💐 Amorino Gelato, where you can create flower-shaped gelato with your choice of flavors—fun and tasty 🥳. 🏵️ Fourth Stop: George Howell Coffee On a winter morning, nothing beats starting a Freedom Trail City Walk with a hot coffee and a croissant for breakfast! The seasonal pumpkin-flavored coffee wasn’t overly sweet and paired perfectly with baked pastries—warming and energizing ✌️. 🏵️ Fifth Stop: Union Oyster House A historic century-old spot along the Freedom Trail, perfect for "experiencing classic American atmosphere" 👀. Since we had a big breakfast, we just ordered a seafood sampler. The seafood was fresh, and the complimentary cornbread kept things interesting without being too heavy. #WinterAndFood #StudentFoodExploration #StudentEats #FoodDiary #BostonFood #BostonTravel
