Boston Winter Solo Trip Guide for Women - Day 1

I traveled alone to Boston for four days and three nights this time, and overall it was a great experience (except for encountering a spiteful Karen on the last day šŸ™„). šŸ•‘ 2:11 pm Arrived at the hotel It’s recommended to stay around Back Bay—convenient transportation, close to Commonwealth Avenue and Newbury Street, lively and safe at night. šŸ•ž 3:30 pm Walked to the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) Explored until closing at 5:00 pm—actually didn’t get to see everything, so I’d suggest allowing 2-3 hours or more. I particularly enjoy oil paintings, especially Impressionist works. Saw original pieces by Monet, Miller, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Sargent, and Turner—truly a feast for the eyes! The museum also houses extensive collections of Asian, African, and European art—museum lovers should definitely visit. šŸ•” 6:15 pm Met up with a friend studying locally for dinner at Saltie Girl Delicious šŸ˜‹! The lobster roll is really fantasticļ½ž Though it’s called ā€œBoston lobster,ā€ it’s actually shipped from Maine—kind of like how certain crabs are named, right? šŸ¤” The steak tartare was topped with a generous layer of cheese, served with soft, chewy toast. Ambiance: 5āļø | Flavor: 4.3āļø šŸ•— 8:00 pm Took a short city walk before heading back to the hotel There aren’t many homeless people on Boston’s streets, but it gets dark early. If you’re traveling alone, it’s best to return earlier and not stay out too late. šŸ“Œ Will share Days 2-4 later—averaging 20,000+ steps a day, haha! #Boston #StudyAbroadPlog #MyStudyAbroadLife #StudentTravel #USATravel #WeekendGetaway #VanGoghEncounter #BostonFood
