The weather was finally warming up this weekend, and that familiar travel itch returned — so we hit the road! 🚗💨 After a five-hour drive, we arrived in Louisville, Kentucky with one mission: to explore the world of Bourbon! 🥃🎯 Louisville isn’t just the largest city in Kentucky — it’s the heart of America’s Bourbon culture. Known as part of the “Bourbon Trail,” this city is home to legendary distilleries, historic bars, and a rich whiskey-making tradition that goes back centuries. We spent our weekend: 🔸 Tasting flights of small-batch and single-barrel Bourbons 🔸 Visiting iconic distilleries like Evan Williams, Angel’s Envy, and Old Forester 🔸 Learning about the aging process, charred barrels, and what makes Kentucky Bourbon so special 🔸 Enjoying Bourbon-infused desserts and cocktails — even Bourbon-ball ice cream! 🍦🥃 Every sip told a story — some smooth and sweet, others bold and smoky. There were high-rye Bourbons, wheated ones, and even a few limited editions we’ll probably never get to try again 😅❤️‍🔥. By the end of the day, let’s just say... we came sitting up in the car, but we went home lying down 😴💤. Bourbon tasting is no joke — especially when you’re toasting to good times, great stories, and the spirit of Kentucky! Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur or just Bourbon-curious, Louisville is a must-visit. The vibe here is warm, the people are proud of their heritage, and every glass feels like history.
