Bratislava Brewery Drevená

The Brewery’s Branch Near the Presidential Palace This branch, located near the Presidential Palace, offers a menu quite similar to the original location, but since the chefs are different, even the same dishes have noticeable differences in presentation.😍😍😍 Being a newer establishment, the interior design follows the same style as the original pub, but the tableware and plating are noticeably more refined. The classic Guláš (goulash) is popular across Eastern Europe—essentially a beef stew with onions, tomatoes, and local paprika. However, each country has its own variation. This Slovak version has a thicker broth, with tender, richly flavored beef that’s especially satisfying for Chinese tastes. Viedenská roštenka (Viennese fried beef) is made with sliced tenderloin, deep-fried and served with a beef-based sauce, pickles, and crispy fried onions. The beef has a firmer bite compared to the goulash, and this restaurant does a great job with it.😂😂😂 The chicken wings and ribs taste almost the same as the original location, but the portions seem smaller for the same price, making them slightly less worthwhile. The beef tartare here comes with an array of condiments—mustard, capers, egg, pickled fish, and arugula. When spread with garlic on crispy toasted bread, it has no gaminess at all, delivering a tangy, spicy kick and a smooth texture. Highly recommended!😁😁😁 Domáca kapustnica so smotanou (homemade sauerkraut cream soup with beef) is a sour yet creamy broth with a rich meaty aroma. Unlike what you might expect, it’s not heavy at all—instead, it’s refreshing and appetizing. In summary: The original location has more space, larger portions, and a wider variety of dishes. The Drevená branch has a more modern interior, more elegant plating, better views outside, and is closer to tourist attractions. Prices are the same at both, and the flavors are very similar.
