Bratislava
As Europe's smallest capital, Bratislava sits in Central Europe on the Danube River, near Slovakia's borders with Austria and Hungary. It's the only capital bordering three countries. Though Slovakia is the poorest developed European nation, it uses the euro (β¬). The city's architecture is quite ordinary, but it's worth visiting to add a new country to your travel list if you're in Austria, the Czech Republic, or Budapest. It's easily accessible by train or bus, and a day trip suffices.πππ I took an RJ train from Prague, a 4 - hour journey departing at 7:30 AM and arriving in Bratislava at 11:30 AM. Then I headed to a popular restaurant for schnitzel and bread soup, which were quite good.πππ After that, I visited several attractions: - The Blue Church (a highlight) - StarΓ½ most Bridge (recommended for its Danube River views) - Most SNP Bridge (best viewed from the castle) - Bratislava Castleπππ - Main Square in the Old Town - Urban House (in the Old Town) β I preferred it over the overhyped KK place, which had poor service and overpriced coffee (10β¬/cup). Urban House has a cozy, chill vibe and great music.πππ #Lesser #Slovakia #Bratislava
