The first impression upon approaching the tower was its striking design and futuristic architecture. Perched atop the SNP Bridge, the tower's sleek and metallic structure stood out against the backdrop of Bratislava's skyline. Its unusual shape resembled a UFO, and it exuded an air of modernity and intrigue. Taking the elevator up to the observation deck, I was greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of Bratislava and the surrounding areas. The vantage point offered by the tower was unparalleled, allowing me to marvel at the city's landmarks, the meandering Danube River, and the vast landscapes beyond. It was a photographer's dream, providing countless opportunities to capture stunning vistas. The UFO Tower also houses a trendy restaurant and bar, which further enhanced the overall experience. The modern decor, stylish furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows added to the ambiance, creating a vibrant and chic atmosphere. Enjoying a meal or a drink while surrounded by the mesmerizing views was a true highlight. While the observation deck and restaurant were impressive, some visitors might find the entry fee slightly steep. However, considering the unique experience and the opportunity to witness the city from such a height, it is still worth the investment. The staff at the UFO Tower were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. They were knowledgeable about the tower's history and provided helpful information and recommendations for exploring Bratislava further.

October 2019: Review: The elevator will take you in 45 seconds from 0 to speechless amazement. At the height of 95 meters (nearly 104 yards), with a line of sight to 100 km (62 miles) you will truly know the magic of the building, which finishes the inherent part of the city's silhouette on Danube. 1967: The realization of the most daring building of its time, a hanging one-and-half million bridge with an observation deck. Project authors are architects J.Lacko, L.Kušnír, I.Slameň and engineers A.Tesár. and J.Zvara. 1972: In this year, exactly on 26th of August, the bridge and observation deck have been put into service. At the time of creation was this building one of two of such structurally designed buildings in the whole world. 2001: In 2001 was the bridge with observation deck proclaimed the Slovak building of a century in the category of bridge constructions. The smallest of the biggest observation decks in the world has gained another top. 2003: A two year modernization has begun, during which the observation deck as well as the original interior of the restaurant have been reconstructed. The modern, minimalistic and functional reconstruction is the work of M.Maličevič, V.Krajčovič and D.Čečetka. 2005: Starting this year is the observation deck a member of a big international family of observation decks and tall buildings combined in The World Federation of Great Towers organization

It was a great experience visiting UFO tower. However the waiter (not mentioning his name) in the evening of 24th March 2024 (today) was rude and his behaviour made us turn off having a meal at the restaurant. Such a behavior will bring reputation down refraining tourist to visit Bratislava. The UFO tower authorities should be more careful while appointing staff. There was no waiting time. Catch an elevator and finally some stairs to go to the roof top. Ticket price is fine and there's 20% discount with Bratislava Card (we had 72 hours Bratislava Card with free transport). They do not accept card and the amount is to be paid in cash only. It was very windy on the top with very little space to accommodate people. Fortunately there were not many people at the roof top when we visited. Great view of the castle, bridge and the Danube river. On one side you can see Vienna with windmills and on the opposite side Budapest. Complete arial view of the city was breathtaking. I do recommend visiting the tower but refrain from enjoying meals and drinks at the Cafe and restaurant as the waiters are rude and show no respect.

Although nice, feels a bit like a tourist trap: you pay the admission price (August 2023 is about €11 per person) and then you pay the overpriced drink when you’re up there (unless you don’t take a main course at the restaurant… definitely overpriced, not worth it). Sure, you can just go up to the small open roof and not drink/eat anything, but after you paid 11 euros you’re not willing to just stay up there for like 5 minutes, you know. Downstairs the rooftop, the bar and restaurant are divided, so you cannot go to the big windows all round, you just have those 3 meters of the bar (because you cannot access the restaurant area if you don’t eat there). In short, the view is very nice but it’s more special looking at the structure from below, you can’t actually “feel” a lot when you’re up; it’s overpriced and they don’t even give you some complimentary nuts with the drink (I don’t know… just a little treat, I mean, a little effort…); the bar isn’t worth it at all because you’re just stuck in your seat. The rooftop is just for Instagram photos, but the architecture is much more enjoyable from below.

Beautiful piece of the Soviet-era architecture, great idea and realization into the unique bridge and tower! I think it is a must see place, at least from the outside. Genius made this bridge with two pathways under the road part, but the signage is absent which is hard. Visit to the bridge was €10, they ask your home country on the till. The lift was very slow for this type of building/tower. Organization was good, but the interior looked like the didn’t change and renovate it from the Soviet era, except painting. Restaurant upstairs had extremely friendly staff, but it looked a bit old style for that kind of restaurant and had a lack of modern feel. The tower has beautiful and unique view.
