Brisbane North Island Day Trip 🩵🏝️🏄🏻♀️ Super Beautiful Jelly Sea
The sea of North Island is really like a knocked-over jelly jar, so clear that you can see the fine sand and swimming fish at the bottom. The blue-green color shimmers in the sun. Walking on the beach feels like stepping into a fairy-tale scene — such a jelly sea is worth getting up early for a ferry ride! Transportation Guide 🚌🚢 1️⃣ Check the schedule before setting off! We planned to take the 9:55 ferry to the island, so we left from 📍Roma Street Station around 7:30 in the morning and took the train to 📍Cleveland (you can find the train by searching for Cleveland directly). After getting off the train and exiting the station, turn right, and there is a bus stop where you can take bus 271 to 📍Toondah Harbour (we didn't see the free shuttle bus of STRADBROKE FLYER at that time, so we took bus 271). When you arrive at the pier, just follow the crowd to queue up. The ferry we saw was from Flyer. With a student ID, a round-trip ferry ticket only costs 16💰. The ticket will be checked when boarding. Remember to keep the remaining ticket, as you will need it for the return trip. Don't lose it! I also went to ask the Sealink ferry company on the other side. The staff said their ferry could reach Amity Point, a scenic spot on the island, but I was confused at that time and finally chose Flyer. Actually, the 9:55 ferry was just in time. After arriving at the island, there were two buses waiting at 📍Dunwich pier. Normally, we could catch the 880🚌, but there were so many locals that day. Both buses were full, and we passengers on this ferry waited for more than 40 minutes for a new 880. It's 1💰 per person to get on the bus. Keep the receipt, as you need to show it to the driver on the return trip. We even tried to call an Uber, but no one accepted the order 😂. We were really anxious while waiting... 2️⃣ After taking the 880 to the terminal, we first walked along the Gorge walk trail, then went to main beach, and went to Frenchmans beach🌅 to watch the sunset. To be honest, we just randomly chose where to visit. Even after reading other people's guides and maps🗺️, we still didn't quite understand. In fact, there are several scenic spots we didn't visit, such as Amity Point and two other beaches, so our route isn't very referenceable. You can check other guides. It took us a lot of time to take photos of each other. Although we didn't visit all the scenic spots, we were quite satisfied, but we were really tired. After watching the super beautiful sunset at 📍Frenchmans beach, we walked a few hundred meters back to the terminal and took the 18:10 880 back to the pier where we got off in the morning. Note: Wherever you get off in the morning, you have to return to the same pier to take the ferry in the evening. If you go to another company's pier, you have to buy a new ticket! 3️⃣ If there are island maps🗺️, brochures or bus schedule booklets at the ticket office, remember to take one. It tells you how to take the 880 to Interchange Station and then transfer to 881🚌 to Amity Point. If you don't get it when buying tickets, there are booklets at the front of the 880. Remember to take one and read it. Personally, I think one day is really not enough to visit North Island (you might be able to visit all places without taking photos or resting, but if you want to take it easy, it's recommended to visit twice). #Brisbane #BrisbaneNorthIsland #GlassSea
