Budapest | Turkish Grilled Meat with a Twist at TURKIZ 🎆

The weather in Hungary is just perfect! 🌤️ Just a 3-minute walk from the Parliament Building, there's this amazing 🇹🇷 restaurant: **TURKIZ RESTAURANT BUDAPEST**. For a group of four, they brought out a long platter of grilled meat with four sparklers haha! 🎆 The platter had all sorts of meats: lamb chops, skewers, chicken wings… 3️⃣ I ordered the P3 COBAN KAVURMA (stir-fried five-spice lamb with pilaf). The first main dish in the classics section is often a safe choice for someone like me who avoids risks. It came with really delicious rice. Overall, it was quite suitable for Chinese taste buds. It's like braised lamb with rice, and the gamey flavor of the lamb was much milder than in the long platter. The accompanying mushrooms, peppers, and onions were all yummy! 4️⃣ Another dish was the P4 TÜRKIZ TAVUK (pan-fried chicken pieces with tomato sauce and kajmak cheese), which had a slightly sour taste that was great for cutting through the richness. 🥤 The homemade drinks were pretty simple (meaning they were easy to make). Sparkling water with fruit syrup? It wasn't bad, just like bottled drinks. Mainly, it helped to balance out the greasiness of just eating meat. 🥤 The free bread that came with the meal was delicious, soft and not dry at all. 🥪 The rice deserves a special mention, it was very fragrant and fluffy! 🍙 The chili sauce was surprisingly not spicy at all haha… 🌶️ 💰 The prices were on the higher side, probably because of the great location. The average cost per person was around 250-500, and there was a service charge of about 15%. That's pretty high. As a Chinese person, I really don't get the whole service charge thing. What exactly are they charging for? It feels as outrageous as a seat fee or something. No hate, just saying. #BudapestEats #BudapestFood #TurkishRestaurant #Life #Hungary #Budapest #ParliamentBuilding #Hungary #ExploreEats #FoodReview #WeekendVibes #BudapestTravel
