Budapest Restaurant Week | Tapassio Restaurant Review 馃嵈

馃搷 Hungary Budapest 馃嚟馃嚭 Budapest鈥檚 Restaurant Week is from 10.10 to 10.27 馃嵈. Other restaurants offer 9900ft/person for 3-4 dishes, but this place has 10 dishes, which excited us, so we booked immediately to check it out. When we arrived and the staff explained the menu, we realized it was actually four rounds, with two people sharing a total of 10 dishes (there was an explanation on the website, but we didn鈥檛 read it carefully 馃槄). 馃専 The pre-meal bread and crackers were super delicious! The dips were also really tasty! We finished all the crackers and even wanted to finish the dips too, hahaha. 馃専 Round 1: Mussels in tomato sauce, fried anchovies, Cypriot eggplant salad The anchovies were a pleasant surprise, the salad paired well with the bread, but the mussels were just average. 馃専 Round 2: Vinegar-glazed cod sticks, grilled green peppers, grilled pork ribs I tasted a cheesy flavor in the cod sticks (I personally didn鈥檛 like it, but my friend did), the grilled green peppers were nothing special, but the grilled ribs were tender and delicious. 馃専 Round 3: Shrimp baked with garlic and olive oil, Spanish chorizo baked in red wine This round was quite average, and some dishes were even a bit disappointing. 馃専 Round 4: Pistachio and mango ice cream, chocolate Basque cake We loved the pistachio ice cream for its milky flavor. The chocolate cake was rich and smooth, paired with a plum sauce. It looked a bit strange, but it really helped to cut through the richness, which was quite . Although each dish was tapas-sized, we were stuffed by the end.
