Cajun-Style Crab Legs & Lobster in LA’s Ktown 🦞
Spent the weekend hanging out with friends at a new hand-serve seafood spot in Ktown! This place, Cap’t Loui, is a chain, but I personally think it’s even better and more generous with portions than The Boiling Crab 😋. Ever since I tried authentic Cajun-style seafood during my trip to New Orleans, I’ve been craving that flavor—so glad I finally got my fix! 🦀 Seafood Combo: They have so many types of seafood to choose from! If you order 2 pounds, you get a free side. Since we had a big group, we went for a larger bucket packed with stone crab, crab legs, jumbo shrimp, mussels, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, corn, and more—all served in a massive bucket! 🪣 The stone crab and crab legs were super meaty and tender. We went with the house special Cap’t Loui sauce at medium spice level, and oh my—the garlicky, buttery aroma was incredible! 🌶️ The Cajun seasoning had just the right kick that keeps you coming back for more. The shrimp soaked up all that saucy goodness, and even the sausage had that authentic New Orleans vibe. We loved it so much we ended up adding noodles to soak up every last drop of that amazing sauce. So. Freaking. Good. 🦪 Oysters: I’m usually not a big oyster person (the smell and texture can be iffy 😬), but these were a game-changer—sweet, fresh, and zero fishy aftertaste! Plus, on Tuesdays, they’re only $1 each!! I could easily down a few plates by myself. 🦞 Lobster Roll: One of my friends who doesn’t eat crab tried this instead. The lobster meat was tender and sweet, topped with melted butter that made every bite heavenly. 🧈 Also, their fried calamari was crispy, flavorful, and perfect with a cold beer. 🍺 🍦 Dessert: I originally wanted to try the beignets, but ended up falling in love with another dessert (sorry, forgot the name! 😅). It was like crispy, chewy mochi sticks—served warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. Absolute perfection! 【Cap’t Loui】 📍 3465 W 6th St Ste 110, Los Angeles, CA 90020 #LifeInTheStates #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #CajunSeafood #HandsOnFeast #FoodieHeaven 🎉🦀🔥
