๐ Calgary City Tour | Road Trip Day 8/9
We set off from Amenida Residences in the morning and took an Uber to explore downtown Calgary. ๐๏ธ 11:00 โ Core Shopping Mall Visited the Devonian Garden on the 4th floor โ a beautiful indoor botanical garden with fountains, ponds, and a kidsโ play area. ๐ฟ๐ฆ ๐ถโโ๏ธ 11:15 โ Stephen Avenue Walk Right next to the mall, this pedestrian street is full of character! Plenty of historic buildings and great photo opportunities from start to end. ๐ธ ๐๏ธ 11:50 โ Calgary Tower + Wonderland Sculpture Walked from the avenue to the iconic Calgary Tower ๐ผ. Just a few hundred meters away is the Wonderland Sculpture (the giant wire face), with the crescent-shaped Bow Building behind it. Across the street stands a beautiful clock tower โฐ. 12:10 โ Chinatown Calgaryโs Chinatown feels quieter compared to Torontoโs โ only a few scattered shops open. We thought about having lunch here but didnโt see many appealing options. The Temple-like structure was pretty interesting though! ๐ฎ ๐ Afternoon Took an Uber back to the hotel, switched to our rental car, and drove to CrossIron Mills โ Calgaryโs outlet mall! Shopping here felt great thanks to Albertaโs low taxes ๐๐. โ๏ธ Day 9: Back to Toronto Slept in ๐, checked out at 11:00, and had lunch at Seoul Korean BBQ. Their lunch buffet is $29.99 per person โ you can choose both raw meats and ready-to-eat dishes. Really tasty! ๐ฅฉ๐ฅ [Photo 18-1] 1:30 PM โ Returned the rental car and headed to the airport. โ The Starbucks at Calgary Airport has exclusive Calgary/Banff/Alberta-themed mugs! [Photo 18-2] If you didnโt find a nice cup in the Banff souvenir shops, this might be your last chance ๐๏ธ๐ง. 5:30 PM โ Boarded the flight back to Toronto.
