California Countdown: 105 Days Left | ๐
An Afternoon Feeding Squirrels by the Ocean ๐ฟ๏ธ I can't believe it... I've officially graduated with my PhD, and now I only have 105 days left in California before I move away. I'm getting so nostalgic already โ I'm really going to miss this incredible place! ๐๐ This weekend, I took a drive along the famous Highway 1, and it was absolutely magical! โจ The road wove in and out of the clouds, creating scenes that looked like they were straight out of a Comics! ๐๐จ For the first time, I noticed how stunningly layered the California ocean can be โ deep navy blue, bright azure, and the crisp white of the crashing waves. It took my breath away! ๐ The little squirrels by the sea were so friendly and came right up to us looking for snacks! ๐ฅฐ Luckily, two young boys were selling cookies nearby for $2 a bag, and they said the squirrels could eat them. So of course, I bought a bag and spent the most delightful afternoon feeding them! ๐ช Some of the squirrels were super bold โ one even put its little paws on my leg, demanding a cookie without any hesitation! ๐ So cheeky! Others were more cautious; they'd grab a cookie and scamper away immediately. And then there were the greedy ones โ they stuffed cookies into their cheeks, didn't eat them, but ran off to bury them in secret spots! I wonder if they'll ever be able to find their hidden treasures again? ๐โ๏ธ๐จ ๐ Lovers Point Park, Monterey What about you?
