California Trail: Skyline Trail โ The Skyline Route ๐๐ฅพ
This trail is located near Norco and Corona in Los Angeles. The main route is 8 miles round trip and can be completed in about 4 hours. โฑ๏ธ๐ The mountain ranges stretch continuously, and there are many side paths to choose from. The slopes arenโt too steep, but itโs uphill the entire way. On sunny days, itโs easy to get dehydrated and tired โ there are lots of exposed sections with direct sunlight โ๏ธ, so bring plenty of water and sun protection! At higher elevations, the wind gets strong โ itโs cool and not too hot, but it can really dry you out. ๐จ๐ง Itโs hard to capture the beauty in photos ๐ธ. Because of the high terrain, the real beauty lies in the vast city views and the depth of the mountain ranges. What you see with your eyes is totally different from what shows up in pictures โ so I just snapped a few casual shots. Overall, the main route of this trail is quite beginner-friendly โ the path is wide, there are no bugs ๐, and except for the final climb to the summit (which is really steep โ take it slow!), itโs very manageable. But because of the strong sun and high temperatures, Iโd rate the difficulty โญ๏ธโญ๏ธ (2/5). Donโt ask why each trail I review isnโt that hard โ Iโm still a beginner too, and I donโt want to end up stranded in the mountains! ๐ ๐๏ธ #LosAngeles #LATrails #HikingLA #SkylineTrail #Norco #Corona #BeginnerHike #SunnyHikes #WaterRequired #WindyRidge #CityViews #MountainScenery #SafeHiking #TrailVibes #ExploreCalifornia
