Came to LA for a Michelin Star ⭐ – Vespertine

Getting in one last fancy meal before I give birth! 😋 My overall impression of Vespertine: every dish leaned pretty sour—if you don’t enjoy tangy flavors, this might not be for you. What I loved most was the architecture—three floors in total: 🍴 Top floor: Kitchen tour / preparation area. 🍽️ Second floor: Main dining. 🍮 First floor: Dessert course. The pacing was perfect—neither rushed nor slow—about 2 hours in total. 💰 Price per person: $375–400 (I swapped the lamb for Wagyu, +$300—the Wagyu was excellent! Also upgraded dessert to a uni course, which was just okay—not worth the extra charge.) 🍷 The wine pairing wasn’t very exciting either—my husband said it all tasted like fruit wine. By the end, it was over $800 per person. Honestly, the flavors felt a bit monotonous to me—not really my style. The highlights were the pigeon and Wagyu (both amazing), but overall, it was more of a one-time experience. Probably won’t return, but glad I tried it! 🥂 #MichelinLA #Vespertine #FineDining #LAFoodie #PregnancyEats #SpecialOccasionDining 🌟
