Camping at Fort Casey, Seattle
✅ Pros: Scenic views, compact and quiet campground, clean restrooms and showers. 🚫 Cons: The campground is by the sea, so it’s extremely windy and cold 🥶. Not suitable for those who dislike the cold. The wind blows from all directions, making cooking difficult. An RV is ideal, but if tent camping, choose a spot near the mountain (yellow circle) for slight wind protection. ⚠️ Notes: Self check-in is required. If you need to pay for additional vehicle parking, it’s cash-only and self-service. Rangers are rarely around, but there is an onsite camp host. The camp host sells firewood and ice (cash only). 🍿 Entertainment: Many posts already cover activities on Whidbey Island, but here’s a reminder: If you plan to visit the Blue Fox Drive-In Theater, arrive early. We showed up after the movie started, and tickets were sold out—didn’t expect that 😂. Also, Pink Salmon season is coming up, so shore fishing for salmon is an option! #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleWeekend #SeattleDaily #SeattleCamping#Fort Casey
