Camping with Kids at Deception Pass State Park in Washington

Last Friday (07/11), we went camping at **Deception Pass State Park** for one night! 🌲⛺ We booked a spot at **Lower Loop B, Site 180**. Since the campsite is near the ocean, it was slightly cooler at night compared to the other two campsites we’ve visited before, but still much warmer than mountain campsites. The best part? Not many bugs! 🎉 Plus, we spotted so many adorable little bunnies hopping around—our kiddo was thrilled! 🐰💕 **Lower Loop B** is super close to both **North Beach** and **West Beach**, just a short walk away! 🚶‍♀️🌊 There are also some short forest trails between the campsite and the beaches, perfect for little explorers. The sunset in the evening was absolutely magical, with golden light shimmering over the water and filtering through the trees. 🌅✨ The next morning, we headed to **Rosario Beach** early. The fog hadn’t completely lifted yet, giving everything a dreamy, mystical vibe. ☁️🌊 There’s a small **tidal pool area** where you can walk around and explore—staff had even marked spots where you could see different sea creatures! We spotted **sea cucumbers, anemones, hermit crabs, tiny fish**, and even a majestic **great blue heron**! 🦀🐠🦢 So much fun for the little ones (and adults too)! During summer break, the park hosts **daily activities** for campers. On Friday night, they had a **Game Night** with lots of fun games for kids, and the staff even made **s'mores** for everyone! 🍫🔥 The whole experience was fantastic for family camping. We can’t wait to come back when our kiddo is older to explore the park’s longer hiking trails! 🥾🌲 #SeattleArea #SeattleWeekend #CampingWithKids #WeekendGetaway #FamilyAdventure #ExploreWashington #NatureLovers
