Can’t help but quietly share my beloved Boston Italian grandpa 🍝

【Alfredo's】 is a tiny hidden gem tucked away on a corner in Allston—so easy to miss you’d probably walk right past it. I’ve been deeply in love with this place since my student days… a true hidden treasure, so low-key and small that there’s only one person and two tables inside. I’ve always kept it close to my heart, almost reluctant to share… but recently discovered they do delivery!! Went a little crazy ordering—just look at the photo to see how much I got. So happy I couldn’t resist sharing the joy. If you live nearby, it’s absolutely worth trying. There’s only one Italian old man running the shop, diligently making handmade pasta and simmering all the sauces himself. Around noon, you’ll usually see him kneading pizza dough—yes, the pizza is also completely handmade and incredibly fragrant!! I learned all this because the first time I went, I asked him for recommendations. The old man paused for a second, then lit up and said he recommends everything—he makes it all himself 👌🏻 I’ve taken my time trying almost everything on the menu, and he was right. Most pastas are just over $10. I absolutely love the gnocchi—made from potatoes, incredibly fragrant, soft yet chewy, completely different from store-bought ones. Every bite is coated in sauce and wonderfully tender. The meatballs are juicy and flavorful, and the red sauce has a spicy kick that I adore. The seafood pasta comes with freshly toasted garlic bread—so good it’s almost unreal. Seriously, I’ve tried almost everything here… and haven’t been disappointed once. Personally, if you already love pasta, this old man is a true treasure… but if you’re not really into pasta, maybe don’t set your expectations too high. Still, at this price and with this craftsmanship!! I’m genuinely obsessed… whispering again 🤫 #food #LifeInNorthAmerica #Boston #BostonFood #Pasta #ItalianCuisine #BostonLife #HiddenGem
