Canada Day Treat: Trying That Viral Burger Spot in Lockport!
Saw a friend’s post about this restaurant ages ago and kept thinking, “I need to check that out sometime!” Then Canada Day rolled around with a day off—perfect excuse to round up a friend and head over right away! 🎉 We started with burgers, ordering the Big Daddy and Lunar Burger. The Big Daddy was my friend’s pick—total meat lover’s dream, but in the best “greasy comfort food” way. The patty was super thick with a chunky, hearty texture, like biting into a really satisfying meaty bite 😋. My Lunar Burger was lighter on the meat but still solid: a thinner (but still substantial!) patty piled high with fresh lettuce, pickles, and tomato. Both tasted like good, classic burgers—no wild, over-the-top sauces, just simple, solid flavor. I also got “The Works” poutine, and wow, the sauce was strong—tasted like nacho topping, which meant it was pretty salty. Not my favorite, but the curly fries that came with it? Chef’s kiss. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned—absolute must-order! They’re hands down the crunchiest fries I’ve had in a while 🍟. For dessert, we tried the ice cream: “Super Hero” and coffee flavor. Both were winners! Super Hero was sweet and fruity, like a fun candy-inspired treat, while the coffee one was my favorite—rich coffee flavor (a little sweet, which I loved) mixed with chocolate chunks. So good I almost finished the whole cup myself 🥰. Total cost was around $20+ per person, including tax and tip—not bad for a full meal with dessert! 📍 6860 Henderson Hwy, Lockport MB #WinnipegFood #Winnipeg #CanadaDayEats
