đ¨đŚCalgary Guide (Even a day trip is too long, honestlyď˝) đFor those heading to Banff, youâll almost definitely pass through Calgary, but letâs be realâno need to set aside tons of time for this city. Half a day of wandering is more than enough! Trust me, let me break it downđ đTransportation: If youâre short on time, highly recommend a combo of driving + city walk! Staying downtown is super convenientâlots of attractions are within walking distance, saving time and energyď˝ â¨Attractions + Route Recommendations (tested and approved!): đ Since we had a car, we first hit Crescent Heights Lookout Pointâa spot you canât reach on foot! The view overlooking Calgary from here is chefâs kissđ The city skyline + distant mountain views in one frameâevery photo feels like a blockbuster. Totally worth a special trip! đChinatown: We drove past and peeked in, and was a bit shockedđą It was quiet with barely anyone around, and the streets felt lifeless. We hopped out for a quick walk then leftâno need to go out of your way hereď˝ đWonderland Sculpture (internet-famous spot): Just a face sculpture in front of an office buildingđś The design is unique, perfect for a quick photo to post, but no need to lingerď˝ đCentral Library: This oneâs definitely worth a visit! We made a point to park and went inâthe architecture is so cool𤊠The curved arches + viral atrium are super photogenic, and the vibe inside is cozyâpeople reading, working, just chilling. Even if you donât read, itâs worth popping in to soak it upď˝ đCalgary Tower: Undoubtedly a city landmark, and you can see it clearly from the roadđź Personally, I donât think itâs worth paying to go upâsnapping a pic from afar is enough! đStephen Avenue Walk: Calgaryâs downtown pedestrian street, great for shopping and eating! There are lots of unique little shops and restaurants along the wayđ´ We picked a random steakhouse, and the food was surprisingly delicious with a nice ambianceď˝ So no need to fixate on âinternet-famousâ spotsârandom picks might just surprise you! đIf you have time in the evening, must visit Princeâs Island Park! Guides say itâs perfect for a relaxing stroll, and in the evening, tons of locals picnic or go boating heređŁââď¸Sadly we were in a hurry and missed itâslight regret!
