Canberra & Kangaroo Beach | 3-Day & 2-Night Trip 🦘
Starting from Sydney, drive all the way to Canberra 🍂🍄🟫 Here’s a super detailed guide for everyone~ Day 1 Sea Cliff Bridge If you want to see coastal roads, don’t miss Sea Cliff Bridge. There are many guides on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) about routes up the mountain—you can search for them. Parking 🅿️ is available at Rube Hargrave Park. Kiama Blowhole Kiama is a place you’ll never get tired of visiting, because there are so many beautiful views! Nearby, there’s Heart-shaped Rock. You can navigate to Minnamurra Lookout, but seeing the heart shape depends on luck, as it’s affected by low tide 🩵. Pebbly Beach (Kangaroo Beach) Driving further south, you can go to Kangaroo Beach 🏖️—highly recommended!!! Usually around 3 or 4 pm, the kangaroos come out! You can also see many baby kangaroos; they’re not afraid of people, so cute and easy to pet! 🦘🦘🦘 Day 2 Oyster Shed on Wray (Oyster Farm) Follow the navigation all the way, drive along the lakeside path, and there will be signs to guide you. Sitting by the lake and eating oysters is incredibly (relaxing); the oysters and shrimp are also delicious 🦪. 🚗 Head to Canberra, a 150km journey. There’s a section of mountain road that’s quite challenging—it’s unpaved and tests your driving skills. Be extra careful when passing through this part!!! National Gallery of Australia A very distinctive national art gallery. After visiting the gallery, follow the signs at the entrance to check out Within Without—the pink wall reflecting on the water is truly stunning~ Dairy Farmers Hill Watching the sunset from the top of the National Arboretum is super photogenic! It’s quite cold at the top, so wear more clothes in winter. Day 3 Parliament House Opening hours: 9am-5pm. There is parking nearby 🅿️. Recommended: a burger joint near Parliament House called Burger Craft—their sweet potato fries are amazing!!! Highly recommended! Captain Cook Memorial Jet ⛲ I went around 1 pm, and the fountain was operating. You need to check the fountain’s schedule in advance. Embassies of Various Countries They’re close to Parliament House, and you can see the embassy buildings of different countries. The Chinese Embassy has a large area with gardens—it made me feel a surge of pride! On the last day, you can stroll around Canberra’s city center before driving back to Sydney 🚗. #CanberraWeekend #SydneyDayTrips #Canberra #Kangaroo #AustralianKangaroo #SydneyTravelGuide #CanberraTravelGuide #CanberraSpartanTravel #Wollongong
