Canberra Family Trip | Dinosaur Museum
When planning our camping trip and one of the stops was Canberra, I immediately noted down this family-friendly check-in spot: the Dinosaur Museum!!! ๐ ๐ฆ According to the website: This museum is Australia's largest permanent exhibition hall for prehistoric specimens. It houses over 150 dinosaur models, 23 complete skeletons, and more than 300 individual fossil displays in its multi-level indoor galleries, with a 20-metre-long Tyrannosaurus rex model exhibited outdoors. As soon as we entered, we happened to catch a staff member starting a tour. Everyone listened very attentively, and the guide had great interaction with the audience. The museum isn't very large, but it features a huge variety of dinosaur modelsโdinosaur enthusiasts could easily spend hours here. Indoors, I really liked the small corner for kids and parents to relax quietly, which has many dinosaur-themed children's books and educational toys (such as puzzles, drawing supplies, etc.). When you're tired from exploring, sitting on the sofa and reading books with the kids is a nice option! The large outdoor dinosaur displays are perfect for photos, and kids feel like they're truly in the scene. Anyway, my little boy had a fantastic time that day! If you're traveling to Canberra with kids, consider checking this place out! ๐ ๐ National Dinosaur Museum Address: 6 Gold Creek Rd, Nicholls ACT 2913 (About 20 minutes' drive from Canberra city center) ๐ซ Adult ticket price: $21 per person #WorthVisitingMuseum #Canberra #CanberraFamilyTrip #CanberraWithKids #CanberraMuseum #CanberraTravel #MyAustralianLife
