Cape Town City Drive
Woke up to another windy day, 💨and the Table Mountain cable car was still out of service😭. But we decided to go with the flow and headed to Signal Hill for a distant view of "God's Table." The panoramic view from the top of Signal Hill was just as amazing! On one side was the endless Atlantic Ocean, and on the other was the flat-topped Table Mountain, as if it had been sliced by a knife. I was at a loss for words!⛰️ 🍷In the afternoon, we unlocked a hidden bonus level — wine tasting at a vineyard. We went to Waterford Estate! As soon as we drove in, the neatly arranged citrus trees soothed our Obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the entrance was super atmospheric. The courtyard was so fresh it was almost unfair. We ordered two tasting packages and tried seven or eight different wines in one go! The waitstaff were super professional and gave us a lot of information, but all we could think was "Wow, this is delicious!" 😂 In the end, it was the sweet white wine that really hit the spot for me. After the wine tasting, we immediately headed to the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood. The houses there are like real-life candy houses! Every random photo looks like a magazine spread. Friends who love taking photos must visit and check this place out! In the evening, we ventured into the downtown commercial area, the V&A Waterfront. The square was bustling with people and performances, completely changing my impression of Cape Town! There was also a deck full of seals, but we just admired them from a distance because the smell was too strong. We found a restaurant nearby for dinner, which was better than the previous night's meal. 😁 🍴 Dining Breakfast: The breakfast near CampusBay was super ceremonial! Scrambled eggs Paired with black tea or local Rooibos tea, the mood was so good that even the bread smelled delicious. Dinner: The much-hyped CodFather seafood teppanyaki was a letdown😁😁😁. The variety was so limited that it wouldn't survive in China. Instead, the grilled fish and pasta at the downtown restaurant Harbour House were so delicious they made us spin around in joy. Sushi is also very popular here, and almost every restaurant has it.😁😁😁 Dessert: Take my advice and don't easily challenge South African desserts. The deadly amount of sugar will make you feel like you're going to have a sugar rush... (In South African restaurants, you are expected to leave a tip😁😁😁There is a section on the bill where you can write down the meal cost plus the tip. Usually, we just add 10%.)😁😁😁😁 Stay tuned for the next post, where I'll unlock the Garden Route. #CapeTown #CapeTownTravel #SouthAfrica #SouthAfricaTravel #SouthAfricanVineyards #SouthAfricanCuisine #GardenRoute
