I enjoyed myself. It wasn't the first time I was there so I already knew what to look out for. Firstly the place gets very crowded but if you book yourself in one of the VIP areas you're more comfortable. It's worthwhile for R5k for up to 10pax you can get a lot from that tab. There's also a second VIP area that's R10k but what's irritating about is they limit the kind of drinks you can buy. So no typical cider's or beers just high end stuff which most people don't like so it becomes not worth it in that regard. Otherwise general is also okay but gets super crowded and you must make sure you arrive very early to get a table there. The music and DJs are great. They play a variety of genres and accommodate everyone, they have an MC who's always on the mic kinda makes it fun but sometimes really not necessary. The area of course is in the township so your safety cannot be guaranteed 100% but if you listen to instructions of people who know the township you'll be okay. Also they have security and parking attendants outside so it adds to the safety measures. The food is delicious and well presented. Rands is always a great place to go to when you're looking for a great vibe, an amazing and diverse atmosphere. You get a bit of both worlds, when I say it's diverse I mean it. It's become the place to go to, the people are super friendly and are there to have fun. My last experience was supposed to be just a few drinks and leave, my gf went to get drinks. I've noticed that certain bartenders react a certain way when they feel like you're not spending enough money to get good customer service. Which is absurd because you can't gage perspective on financial capabilities based on how someone chooses to spend on a certain day. That needs correcting. While my girl was making the purchase she did not get the best service and that was after she mentioned what she was buying. I literally had to step in and add to the purchase for her to be taken seriously. Now Rands will always make money, we will always go there but these type of people will always hinder us from getting the...

I have been to this place a couple of times and watched grow and being renovated over the years.

The service has improved from the last couple of years. I would highly suggest booking the VIP section if you wish not to be pushed and shoved in the common area but the common area has improved greatly just make sure you arrive very early to secure yourself a seat and table 10am likely or you will be caught without a table to keep your drinks and food.

The VIP section is well managed and was not too crowded at all everything we ordered from our waitress and she brought it to us. The mean was not the best Braai meat i have ever had i think it needed more time on the fire as it was under cooked.

Besides everything it is a great vibe if you are looking to experience going to the location like Khayelitsha also is it very safe and security is a priority from the parking to inside the establishment.
