Central Europe 6-Day Tour (Part 2): Slovakia
"A city where twilight brings guitar serenades and warm kisses"—that’s Bratislava, a place where half a day feels just right. 🚄 Transportation Afternoon train from Vienna (7.15) 🎫 €9.5/person, 1.5-hour ride. Pro tip for groups of 4: bring a deck of cards! Trains are quiet, no AC—grab a window seat and open it for summer breezes. Bratislava 24-hour transport pass (Fig.3) 🎫 €4, but honestly? Walking is better! Most attractions are 20–40 mins apart, perfect for strolling. 🥳 Itinerary Starts at 4 PM The Blue Church ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Catholic church in Hungarian secessionist style—think pastel summer vibes! Inside, frescoes are playful and warm, not solemn. 🕒 Mon-Sat: 6:30–7:30 & 17:30–19:00 (Wed till 18:00); Sun: 7:30–12:00 & 17:30–19:00 Bratislava Castle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for sunset walks! Climb for panoramic views of the city. Huge gardens inside, plus rotating exhibitions in the main castle. UFO Observation Deck 🕒 10:00–23:00. We skipped it due to hunger, but views are supposed to be epic—check it out if time allows! Main Commercial Street Eastern European charm with dreamy colors: strawberry pink, matcha green, misty blue... 🍴 Dining Bratislava Flagship Restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 100-year-old spot, ~¥80/person. 4 of us shared 3 dishes! Meat portions are massive and cheap. Pro tip: arrive early—kitchen closes around 21:30. 🏠 Accommodation Palace Apartments ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎫 £20–27/night/person (booked on Booking.com). Perfect for 2 couples: 2 separate rooms, modern minimalist decor, 9.2/10 rating—well deserved! 🌙 Nighttime Vibes Streets feel safe, clean, and romantic. At 22:00, we saw a couple kissing on a bridge while a street guitarist played... pure magic. #CentralEuropeTour #SlovakiaTravel #EuroTrip #BudgetTravel #Bratislava
