Charlotte, North Carolina Travel Guide + 😏 Honest Thoughts
There are tons of varied travel guides and shares on Xiaohongshu, each written like a magazine recommendation. I’m here to share my genuine feelings and a practical guide for sisters planning to visit later—helping you navigate and avoid pitfalls [giggle] 😆 But first, I have a huge question: Why are there no toilet seat liners in restrooms in both North Carolina and South Carolina? 🚽 As someone from California, I was totally confused the second I walked into a restroom after getting off the plane. I had to silently tear off toilet paper and lay it down myself 😂 🏰 Attractions:1️⃣ Freedom Park: A beautiful little park! It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk around, and there’s a small fountain inside. Many people jog or walk their dogs here in the morning—it’s perfect for a stroll at dawn or dusk 🌳💦 2️⃣ NASCAR Hall of Fame: Not very big, just three floors total. It showcases NASCAR race info, vehicles, apparel, processes, and historical stories. If you’re into racing, it’s totally worth a visit 🏎️🏆 3️⃣ Mint Museum: I went to the Uptown location. As an art student, I absolutely loved it! The exhibition space isn’t huge—only the 2nd and 3rd floors are open to visitors; the floors above are usually for special events that require extra tickets 🎟️. On the 2nd floor, there’s a hall with large Mayan-themed lenticular artworks and glass crafts—super unique and stunning! There’s also a massive stained glass-style wall in the museum that’s perfect for photos 📸🌈 4️⃣ Optimist Hall: It’s basically a food court with plenty of dining options and lots of people. There are two small boutique shops in the corner to browse. The only upside is affordable parking—free for the first hour or two 🅿️🍔 5️⃣ Charlotte Uptown: The streets are beautiful and clean, but there are barely any shops—only a handful of restaurants. Most of the tall buildings are office towers 🏙️. I arrived on a Sunday, so the streets were extremely quiet. Most people on the streets were Black. Besides a few landmarks near the museums worth taking photos of, there’s not much point in doing a citywalk if it’s too hot or rainy—just drive around for a quick look! #Charlotte#CharlotteNC# NorthCarolinaLife#NorthCarolinaRTP#NorthCarolina#TonightDinner #CharlotteNCFood #CharlotteFoodie #NorthCarolinaUSA #CharlotteNC #CharlotteTravel #CharlotteEats #CharlotteChineseFood
