Charlotte’s Szechuan Mansion Hotpot is Finally Here! 🎉
As a die-hard hotpot fan, back in college, I’d drive an hour and a half to Durham just to eat at Szechuan Mansion. This year, I moved back to North Carolina—and heard they were opening a Charlotte location! Waited months, and it’s finally here. I’ve already gone twice in a week—it’s the same amazing flavor, living up to its title as NC’s hotpot king 👑. What makes Szechuan Mansion stand out? Freshness, hands down. Sure, the fatty beef and lamb are good, but the other ingredients? Next-level: Tripe is crunchy (no rubbery texture here!). Yellow throat (a type of beef tendon) is sliced fresh to order.🍲❤️ Crispy fried pork (xiaoshurou) is made with fresh meat, chopped and fried right when you order—hot, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Their braised dishes? Chef’s kiss. Braised intestines and tripe are tender, soaked in savory sauce—one small bowl is never enough, I could eat it by the plate 🐷. But the biggest surprise? The egg fried rice. Fluffy, golden, each grain separate, and fragrant enough to make me want to beg the kitchen for the recipe. How do they make it so perfect? 🍚 It feels like half of Charlotte’s Chinese community has been here these days! Showed up at 5 PM on Friday and waited an hour—but it was worth it. With the discount still on next week, I’m definitely going back. These days, I keep thinking: Charlotte’s really stepping up its game. A little more color has snuck into my otherwise routine life—and I’m here for it. #USA #NorthCarolina #Hotpot #CharlotteNC #CharlotteHotpot #CharlotteNCUSA #LifeInUSA #NorthCarolinaUSA #CharlotteTravel #CharlotteFood #CharlotteChineseFood
