Charlotte Was Kinda Boring, But I Found Hidden Gems

Charlotte Was Kinda Boring, But I Found Hidden Gems👣👣 Road Trip Stop 3: Charlotte, NC🍜 🌹When planning the itinerary, I thought the drive from DC to Atlanta was a bit too long, so I decided to stop over in Charlotte for a day. The first sign of how things would go was our stay at Hyatt Place—the facilities were quite dated, and the place was full of elderly ladies (who were all really nice, though).🦋🦋 The next noon, I drove around downtown and noticed most pedestrians were finance bros popping out of office buildings for lunch (no shade).🍐🎼 We found a mall, but most stores were closed, so we lost all motivation to explore further. 🐯The two precious photos of the city are 🙃. Anyway, I found two amazing eateries and an animal farm that I’d definitely recommend if you’re ever in Charlotte:🌸🌸 Yunta (2201 South Blvd Ste 130, Charlotte, NC 28203)🌷 🌻Creative Peruvian cuisine at its best. - Chicharron comes with my highest recommendation—it’s the best crispy pork belly I’ve ever had.🍱🍱 - Mariscos al Fuego (Flame-Grilled Seafood) 🔥 features scallops and shrimp, and it’s absolutely delicious.🍣🍣 - Passion Limo Tiradito is a classic South American-style sashimi with a twist: salmon in a tangy passion fruit sauce.🌾🌾 🌼 It wasn’t really my cup of tea, though. - Smoky Melon is a nice little smoky-sweet cocktail worth trying.🌴 - For dessert, we had Chocolate Bomba—a standard chocolate cake with Oreo crumbles. 🍎 🍉It was decent, nothing more, nothing less. MOA Korean BBQ So good, so juicy!👣👣 We ordered the basic $90 combo for two, choosing Prime Ribeye, Marinated Galbi, and American Wagyu Brisket—all were incredibly tender and flavorful. 👀The staff lady even grilled everything for us, and she was a pro 👍. - We got creamed corn as a side, which was sweet and creamy—delicious.💖 - The beef soup was just so-so (I even forgot to take a of it 🥲). Darby Safari Farm A total paradise for animal lovers!💚💚 You can book a 1-hour guided tour on the official website. 🏡The staff guy will walk you through the farm, introducing every animal along the way—many are even available for close-up interactions and feeding. The farm’s star attractions are a family of capybaras! ❄️ We paid extra for a 15-minute Capybara Encounter for some one-on-one time with them, and it was totally worth it for the ultimate capybara fix 😌. #Charlotte #CharlotteNC #NorthCarolina #CharlotteTravel #CharlotteFood #NorthCarolinaFood #NorthCarolinaTravel #BoringLifeInUSA
