🌟Visited the Mint Museum for free with the BOA Museum on US offer. It has two locations, both free at the same time. The downtown location recently had an additional paid Picasso exhibition, but I didn’t want to spend ten bucks to see Picasso’s work because I’ve seen his paintings in various art galleries before. Picasso was prolific; there are a lot of his works in circulation. 🌟I prefer the tranquility of Randolph to the hustle and bustle of the city. Near the park in front of Randolph, you can see houses of the old middle class. The Randolph building is quite old, and the exhibits weren’t anything special, kind of reminded me of elementary school field trips. 🌟However, this street is lined with hospitals, so the area is nice. Overall, neither of the Mint Museum locations had exhibits that I found particularly worth seeing; it was a bit like having a dish that’s neither here nor there. Since it was free, it was just the cost of downtown parking, which was okay. 🌟Right next to the Mint, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art seems to be closed at the moment. I checked it out three years ago, and it was another place that left me feeling neither here nor there, but you feel like you’re missing out if you don’t go. 🌟The nearby Museum of Illusions - Charlotte is probably the most worth visiting, great for photos. It’s just opened a few months ago, so it can be quite crowded. 🌟A lot of people recommend Jinya Ramen next to Illusion. The sophisticated office workers in the building have lunch there. I’m waiting for the South Park branch to open, don’t want to pay for parking to go into the city for ramen. #Charlotte #Charlotte #NorthCarolinaCheckIn #NorthCarolinaTravel #NorthCarolina
